What does our babysitting service include?
- The babysitter will come over to your accommodation.
- Feed the baby (with pre-prepared food).
- Put the kid down for naps.
- Stay in a room with the children while they are sleeping.
- Play with children.
Is there a minimum or maximum age of the kids?
There is no limit, but before you confirm with the client, ensure that the babysitter is comfortable with babysitting babies, especially those under 1 year old.
Where does our babysitter hang out with children?
At the family's Airbnb or their hotel room.
Can our babysitter offer services outside the accommodation?
Yes, if the parents wish, our babysitter can take the children to museums, galleries, breakfast, lunch, or any other activity that is within walking distance from the family's accommodation. Please note that these things have to be pre-planned, and any admission fees or other costs should be charged ahead of time, so the babysitter would have a budget for paying for things without us needing to charge the client additional fees after the service is over.
Can the babysitter drive with the children to specific activities?
No, we do not offer a service that includes our babysitter transporting children in a car.
Do we offer a babysitter service where the babysitter would travel together with the family?
Yes, we can provide this, and it would be treated as a customized service.
What if the are more than 4 children?
We would need to check with the baby sitter if she is fine with taking care of more than four kids and if there wuld be any additional charge for that.
Is there a minimum service hours?
Yes, we charge for a minimum 3 hours service even if the client needs a service for one or two hours.
Do we offer any discount?
Yes, if the client inquiries for for 6 or more hours, we offer 10% discount on a total service fee.
What are the payment policies?
We always charge the client in advance for the services provided.
Do we offer prebookings?
No, we do not guarantee any availability unless the client prepays for the service. If the client at the time of contacting us is not sure about the date or timing, ask them to get back to us when they know the timing and we would repsond to them about the availability.
Is this serviced offered all year round?
Yes, based on babysitters' availability.
Can we offer the service after midnight?
Yes it is possible, but we would need to check with the babysitter if they are available and if they accept to charge the regular evening tariff.
How do we charge for this service?
When the client confirm the booking, we send a payment link.
Do we offer partial refunds if the babysitter stays for a shorter time than what it was booked for?
No, the amount for which the client books the babysitter is final. If the parents use less time than they paid for, our regular cancellation policies would apply.
What are our cancellation policies?
Our standard cancellation policies would apply:
- No cancellation fee will be charged if a client cancels the booking more than 48 hours and you will be entitled to get a 96.5% refund.
- A 3.5% is non-refundable and it represents the transaction fee.
- A 100% cancellation fee will be charged for the cancellations received within 48 hours before the service date.
- If the service is canceled by us due to the weather or any other mishaps, you will get a 100% refund from us.
Do we offer this service outside Reykjavik?
Yes, we do. But it would be treated as customized service. The price would be calculcated based on the driving distance and if the baby sitter is requires to stay overnight. Please note that our babysitters are situated in Reykjavik.
How do we send service offers to the baby sitters?
We send baby sitting offer via email with the following information:
- Service date:
Location: (if Airbnb, we need to know the address, if hotel - its' name)
- Time: (we need to know from what to what time)
- Number of kids:
When they confirm that they are available, we then send the information to the parents, stating that we have an available babysitter along with the babysitter's bio.
Should we create calendar entry for this service?
Yes we do create calendar entries - but ONLY when the service is confirmed is paid. We do not need to create one when send the offer to the baby sitter. The main reason for that is that very often clients who inquire for this service end up not booking it.
